Ares FPS 0.3 is very similar to Quake, Doom or Counter-Strike, and the aim of the game is very simple: you just have to shoot at absolutely everything that gets in your way! You can move about the terrain in two ways, either using the terrain map in the corner of the screen, or switching to your HUD (Head Up Display). As you move through the levels you will see various things that you can collect, like ammunition, health and bonuses.

Ares FPS 0.3 has a free editing level, which lets you, if you are a programmer, make structural changes to the game in order to create your own levels, plus user-configurable graphics where you can choose the tones and pixel numbers. It is also open source, so you can share your changes with the gaming community, and if you want to go further you can redevelop the whole game.
